"Hudson Rising explores 200 years of ecological change and environmental activism along 'the most interesting river in America' through artifacts, media, and celebrated Hudson River School paintings." --New York Historical Society

The New York Historical Society's exhibit "Hudson Rising" explores how humans have impacted the river. Juxtaposing historic photographs of logging along the Hudson with nineteenth-century landscapes capturing the beauty of the area, the exhibit weaves together artistic and industrial images. It also features environmentalist efforts to save and preserve the River.
