“The exhibit will give visitors tools to interpret the past, present, and future and see how the choices they make today will live far beyond them, in deep time.” - National Museum of Natural History

The David H. Koch Hall of Fossils at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History opens on June 8, 2019. The newly renovated hall contains 700 refurbished species. The exhibit starts 4.6 billion years ago but concludes by asking visitors to connect lessons of past extinctions with our current climate crisis and shared future. The museum will be offering a series of events celebrating the opening of the exhibit throughout the month of June.
